Yet another season of the most popular show on Czech Television debuted in October. Preciosa crystals embellish all the dance dresses and account for many of the show’s decorations.
StarDance, the Czech version of the ever popular Strictly Come Dancing, has reached its tenth edition. Following the elimination of one couple every week, StarDance will unveil its 10th king and queen of the dancefloor in December.
Ten pairs began in this year’s competition. As with all previous seasons, some of the most popular Czech celebrities are taking part, including Olympic medalist Gabriela Koukalová, the country’s most popular YouTube personality and vlogger Karel Kovář commonly known as Kovy and New York-born singer Tonya Graves.
Together with their professional dance partners, the celebrities will undertake the challenge of performing popular dances such as the Cha Cha, the Waltz, the Samba and the Paso Doble.
All the dancers’ outfits were designed by Tatiana Kovaříková and are adorned with thousands of Preciosa crystals. “Our flagship Chaton Roses Maxima – the most ideal stone for dancewear – can reflect up to 264 unique rays of light and are perfect for breathing life into the dancers’ movements,” said Jan Štiller, director of sales and marketing for Preciosa Components.
