Lie Sang Bong collaborates with Preciosa in fashion competition

Internationally acclaimed Korean designer Lie Sang Bong - renowned for his architectural collections that ‘celebrate and enhance the body’ - held a fashion workshop for his students in Seoul at the beginning of December.

Also a lecturer at Hongik University, he tasked his students with incorporating Preciosa crystals into their graduating looks for the 2017 Fashion Biennale, which were then put on display and judged by Lie Sang Bong himself. Preciosa donated $5,000 USD worth of stones, free of charge, for their use in the designs.

The designs were modelled on the catwalk in front of an audience of around 500 onlookers, including Mr Sang Bong. Preciosa also produced some Bohemian crystal trophies for the winners of the event, which Mr. Sang Bong presented, along with prize money collectively worth $10,000.

Lie Sang Bong also created uniforms for the A1 Grand Prix Korean national team in 2008, and designed an exhibit to celebrate the first anniversary of the Korean Cultural Center in London (2009), which was later displayed in Trafalgar Square. He is currently the president of CFDK (Council of Fashion Designers of KOREA).
