Preciosa’s main campus and head offices are located in Jablonec nad Nisou, a small town in the North Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. Archaic Czech for “Little Apple Tree on the Nisa” (Nisa being the river that flows through town), Jablonec nad Nisou received its official township status in 1866 from Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria-Hungary in recognition of the town’s collective success in glassmaking and jewelry production.

Today, Preciosa operates ten additional production sites throughout North Bohemia, two corporate offices in the nation’s capital of Prague as well as regional offices across Europe, North America and Asia and melts 40 tons of glass every day.
